Continue to grow as an Artist
Performer and Educator with an MBA and over 10 years experience
My educational philosophy is founded on working with each student in a positive, productive environment with clear communication and a holistic approach at the forefront.
Each student has their own strengths and weaknesses in both learning styles and musicianship. I myself gained deeper awareness of the attention we should pay to our individual needs after a shoulder injury and subsequent surgery.
I had to examine the bigger picture in terms of how one small tear in my shoulder could affect my instrument. My background in yoga, movement and mindfulness helped me to construct a knowledge-base in physiology to better address the connection between mind, body, and instrument.
To further ensure a safe and inspiring environment for each of my students, I take time to encourage a practice of self-awareness, which fosters self-care and a passion for lifelong learning.
Evolve. Expand. Mature.
As a teacher, my methodology encourages learning music in a way that encompasses more than a weekly lesson.
My global approach to vocal studies includes the mind, body, instrument connection, and the importance of routines and habits that ensure longevity and individual artistry in a musical career. This is where my passion for yoga and music intersects!

“I have been practicing yoga for about two years and I had to stop because of my wrist pain. Playing the bass puts a lot of pressure on my wrists, but I still wanted to practice yoga because of its benefits. Jennifer Caraluzzi not only helped me improve my wrist strength, but she also designed a personalized yoga practice that was wrist friendly. Thanks Jennifer for your lessons and for giving me the confidence to practice yoga again!”
